Flying to Queenstown
Queenstown International Airport is located 10 kilometres, or a 10 minute drive, from the town centre. Air New Zealand, Qantas Airways, Virgin Australia and Jetstar make a variety of international and domestic flights into and out of Queenstown. Daily domestic connections link Queenstown with New Zealand's main centres of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, while international flights connect to Australia’s east coast including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Coolongata, Gold Coast. Driving to Queenstown
Getting to Queenstown by road is a great scenic option - you’ll come across incredible natural landscapes and different attractions making it an ideal trip if you have time to explore. Roads to Queenstown are well signposted, so it’s easy to find your way here from the surrounding South Island regions. Highways are fully sealed and well-maintained but some side-roads to activities and attractions may have loose gravel and require more time and care. On unsealed roads it’s best to slow down and allow additional traveling time.
